Distant is a Downtempo / Deathcore band from Rotterdam, the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
After numerous tours around Europe and
their debut EP “Tsukuyomi” in ‘17, Distant now took it to a next level by signing to Unique Leader Records. Their first album “Tyrannotophia” was released in ‘19. The EPs “Dawn of Corruption” (‘20) and “Dusk Of Anguish” (March ‘21) sequel the band’s lore-based dark story🌙

Not bad by any means but, far from unique for them. Following an ep that was a massive departure from their standard, this was the best step forward they could've taken. As always, beastly vocals and absolutely demonic guitar tone with writing quality to match it. The drums take a pretty good mesh of blast beats and technically proficient work that sells the record wholesale for me. the features stand out thanks to the obvious difference in vocal styles and make those a distinction on the record

Finally a deathcore album that sounds fresh and not like all the others! Vocals, instruments, production - everything is exceptional. Amazing album you need to hear over and over again! Favorite songs: Animal, Demon King, Prophecy of the Falcon, Mortal Vessel & Foe of the Inhuman, but seriously there is no bad song on this one. 10/10, and already the best deathcore album of the year! Cheers guys, I hope you will invade Germany soon.
